Franchise Requirements

MINIMUM NET WORTH– $200,000 per restaurant in cash, liquid assets, available financing, or a combination thereof is a franchise requirement.

It is highly recommeneded by Pizza Pit that each store is owner operated in order to maximize profit, quality, and customer service. However, there are other scenarios that could be accepted.

· INITIAL FRANCHISE FEE IS $25,000 FOR THE FIRST STORE.*

· ONGOING ROYALTY FEE OF 3.25% OF NET SALES DUE WEEKLY.

*INCLUDES STORE SET-UP HELP, TRAINING, MARKETING ADVICE, OFFICE FEES, AND OTHER EXPENSES.

Franchise Support

Pizza Pit franchisee’s are given ongoing support for any issues that may arise; including equipment problems, sales, advertising, vendor problems, or any other problems that may arise.  Additionally, Pizza Pit will continue to make sure, after training, that all dough, sauce, cheese, pizzas, sandwiches, chicken, and more are made to the Pizza Pit standard from the last 44 years.

HAS PIZZA PIT WON ANY AWARDS?

Pizza Pit has won many awards; the awards include best pizza in Madison by Madison Magazine. Furthermore, best delivered food in Madison by the Isthmus Magazine, and the Star Award for best pizza in Madison by Capital Newspaper and Madison.com in 2009.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BUILD A PIZZA PIT RESTAURANT?

Pizza Pit restaurants can range from $80,000 to $300,000, depending on the size, type, new or used equipment, and geographical area of the restaurant.

WHAT IS THE FRANCHISE FEE?

The franchise fee is an initial investment of $25,000. For each additional unit that you add, the price for the new stores will decrease. The initial investment includes training (see training section below), store set-up, equipment purchasing, what to do for advertising, grand opening assistance and training, and legal costs for becoming a franchise.

WHAT ARE ROYALTY FEE’S?

Royalty fee’s are 3.25% of net sales weekly. The Royalty fee is for the use of our Pizza Pit system, logo trademarks, name, food purchasing power, and for continuing support.

ARE THERE ADVERTISING FEES?

No. Each store is in charge of your own advertising budget. Pizza Pit requires a minimum of 4% of your monthly gross sales goes towards your monthly advertising budget. However, Pizza Pit does have a graphic artist on staff to help with print advertising (box top fliers, posters, mailings, etc.) for any Pizza Pit location.

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM FINANCIAL REQUIREMENTS?

We require a minimum net worth of $200,000 in order to open a franchise. If you don’t fit this requirement, then a partner would be an option.

WHAT TYPE OF ONGOING SUPPORT DOES PIZZA PIT OFFER?

Pizza Pit offers as much support as is needed by your company. We are available for consultation on a wide range of matters, concerns, or problems. We do not pester with constant visits, but do visit each store occasionally, as well as communicating as much as possible.

WHAT KIND OF TRAINING REQUIREMENTS ARE RECOMMENDED?

We recommend that you spend at least 4-6 weeks at one of our stores learning everything from Pizza making to managerial skills. Additionally, Pizza Pit’s training process will train you to make from scratch our pizza dough, pizza sauce, fresh baked bread, and our 100% real pizza cheese blend.
